  • “The office staff and Dr. Holder were super polite. Office was clean . The whole procedure that I would need was explained thoroughly with different options and any questions I had were answered without rush and politely . • “Dr. Kirkpatrick and Dr. Holder are excellent dentists! I’ve been going to Dr. Kirkpatrick for 20 years and I highly recommend him and Dr. Holder! Their hygienist, Deleesa Ross, is the most gentle and thorough hygienist I’ve ever been to!!”

At the office of  Zachary J. Holder, DDS, we believe that we can provide you with the best possible dental care by combining an old-fashioned personal approach with state-of-the-art treatments and technology. Our goal is to research and invest in the type of technology that we know will provide you with oral health benefits while making your treatment more efficient and comfortable.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays are used to take highly detailed two-dimensional images that include the teeth, upper and lower jaws, and surrounding structures and tissues in just one x-ray. Digital panoramic imaging is quick and comfortable and significantly reduces your exposure to radiation.

Digital Radiography (X-Rays)

Digital radiographs (x-rays) are a system for dental imaging that allows us to take digitally perfect images of your teeth and share them with you on a monitor screen. The software used allows us to enhance and enlarge the image, which helps our dentists see even the tiniest changes, which wouldn't be seen during a visual oral exam.

We can then share the image with you so that you see what we see, making it easier for you to understand why your treatment is necessary. Digital images are also better for you because they dramatically reduce your radiation exposure. They’re also better for the environment since we don’t have to dispose of hazardous chemicals and materials used with traditional film x-rays.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras are a special type of camera developed specifically for use in dentistry. This handheld instrument allows us to show you images of your mouth so you get a clear picture of what’s happening and why treatment is necessary.

An intraoral camera is very small, about the size of a pen. Using this specialized equipment, we can share with you highly detailed images of your teeth and gums. This information helps you see what we see and also allows us to make an accurate diagnoses. The clear, enlarged images, show us details that may be missed during a standard visual exam.

The images we take with the intraoral cameras are stored digitally at our office. This allows us to develop a comprehensive history of your treatment and share it with your insurance company or specialists as needed.
